Photographer, Videographer or Content Creator, what's the difference?

In this modern age, brides and grooms to be are spoilt with choice by the enormous amount of vendors available to service their wedding. You may have noticed a recent trend of Wedding Content Creators popping up and you may be wondering to yourself, how do they differ to photographers and videographers? Let me tell you how!

Photographers and videographers have skills, equipment and expertise which is what makes them incredible at what they do. They are there to ensure every single moment is captured in beautiful detail and the highest of quality. They spend days, weeks and even months perfecting your most precious moments so these memories can last a lifetime and for generations to always look back on.

It's important to note that content creators do not replace photographers or videographers, they are an addition to the media team that will be present on your wedding day. Content creators are there to capture all your behind the scenes moments, and everything in between, in a raw and unfiltered way on a mobile device. This content is the ideal way to share on your social media channels, especially TikTok and Instagram, and allows you the opportunity to edit this content however you wish. Content creators also fill the void between your wedding and the moment your photos and/or videos get delivered by providing content in real time or within days of your wedding.

Content creators also take the pressure off you, your bridal party and your guests by taking care of all your social media must haves that you can share as posts, stories and reels. Allow your guests to have their devices tucked away and be fully present for the whole day, knowing that your content creator is there! Being a photographer myself, I know how important it is to position myself to get all the best angles but also to not invade the space of your other vendors and get in the way of their shots.
